Simply put, nature motivates me. As I walked into work this morning I heard the birds chirping. Amazing! Birds! Then I saw the blooms on all of the trees! I live among many orchards so it makes the world particularly beautiful when it is blooming season. As the day progressed I found that the weather was turning away from blue skies. However, to me this is one of the most beautiful things in the world! I love rain! I love rain clouds! I love the world! "Whenever I hear the song of a bird or look at the blue, blue sky. Whenever I feel the rain on my face or the wind as it rushes by. Whenever I touch a velvet rose or walk by a lilac tree, I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world Heavenly Father created for me." That's right, I am even grateful for the wind! It brings good change.
Whatever it is that is happening outside I can find something every day that lets me know that I can do life. I can do hard things! This is what I love about life. The simple things all around can help you out. I once heard a story about the aftermath of a terrible disaster. There was nothing remaining. All of the trees were dead and buildings were not doing so well either. Amidst the rubble though, a small girl was going about collecting leaves that somehow still remained. She had found that small ray of hope on the cloudiest day. I am motivated to keep going and to someday be like this girl. I will search for the beauty amidst the rubble.
